Simone is an experienced Orthopaedic and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist who brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to healing. Her genuine interest in people from all walks of life is evident in her approach to patient care.

Simone’s academic journey, which includes a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (UVIC, 2014) and a Master's degree in Physiotherapy (UBC, 2017), forms a strong foundation for her practice. Her post-graduate training also encompasses pelvic floor Certification (Levels 1-3), dry needling, sports therapeutic taping, intro to vestibular rehabilitation, paediatric neurodevelopmental technique, spinal mobilization and manipulation and orthopaedic level 1 certification. She also has a wide range of clinical experiences and loves a good challenge when it comes to investigating stubborn pain or injury!

Before joining Tall Tree in 2023, Simone worked in Northern BC, where she had the opportunity to significantly impact individuals across various settings. Besides working at a busy clinic, she has also traveled to remote indigenous communities to provide specialized services, has worked in small-town hospitals to offer care post-operatively and in long-term facilities, and has worked with infants and children through a developmentally focused approach in their homes and schools.

While she enthusiastically addresses many ailments, she is particularly fond of pelvic floor treatment, managing chronic orthopaedic injuries, and working with strength and running athletes! In the pelvic floor capacity, Simone works with individuals pre- and post-partum, including bladder/bowel issues and pelvic/sacral pain and will soon be trained to treat children with pelvic floor dysfunction. With a background in Kinesiology, her passion, and training in weightlifting and running, she loves to work with individuals of all fitness levels to achieve their performance goals!

Central to her treatment philosophy is the belief in empowerment through knowledge. Simone is committed to equipping you with the information and tools to understand your condition thoroughly. She paves the way for a more effective and lasting healing process by fostering active participation in your recovery journey.

Beyond her professional endeavours, you'll often find Simone engaging in various activities that promote her well-being, including running, weightlifting, skiing, yoga and hiking! These personal pursuits exemplify her dedication to an active lifestyle and contribute to her holistic understanding of her patients' needs.
